PND Juneau Selected for Carl E. Moses Boat Harbor

Carl E MosesPND Juneau was on the winning design team selected to assist the City of Unalaska for the design and construction of the Carl E. Moses Boat Harbor - Inner Harbor and Uplands Improvements. The Harbor is located on Amaknak Island, at the head of Captains Bay, within the City of Unalaska and will support the Dutch Harbor fleet. The Corps of Engineers is currently constructing the rubblemound breakwaters and dredging the 15 acre basin with completion scheduled soon. PND will assist the City with design and construction of all inner harbor infrastructure as well as the uplands facilities needed to support the operation of the new Carl E. Moses Boat Harbor. PND Anchorage has been working on the uplands access and utility design.

Design parameters include:
• Mooring slips for vessels 60’-150’ in length
• Electricity and potable water at each slip
• Sewage pump-out station
• Harbor Office
• Waste Oil/Hazardous Materials Building

The Design-Build team is headed by contractor Pacific Pile and Marine from Seattle. Other team members include:
