PND received the 2009 Local Civil Engineering Achievement Honor Award in
Ports and Waterways Engineering for the
Dakota
Creek Shipyard Redevelopment
project.
The Dakota Creek Industries (DCI) shipyard
redevelopment will bring more family-wage jobs to the Anacortes area,
and has allowed DCI to reclaim previously unusable in-water area. This
project features an OPEN CELL® bulkhead structure to retain an
additional acre of uplands staging area, and a SPIN FIN® pile supported
heavy-lift pier.
