Prior to forming PND, the founding members were part of the Alaska Department of Transportation Bridge Section. PND's engineers have designed nearly 350 bridges using varied material types and construction methods. We have the proven bridge technology to accommodate any project-specific concerns. Additionally, PND has successfully completed a variety of projects for railroad systems throughout the United States, including work for the Alaska Railroad Corporation; the Willamette and Pacific Railroad; Columbia and Cowlitz; and the White Pass and Yukon Route. Our capabilities include bridge inspections, design and repair, track realignment studies, bathymetric surveys, port and waterfront planning, and intermodal development.
An ongoing example of PND’s capability and reliability is the firm’s continuing annual inspections and repair recommendations for the White Pass and Yukon Railroad bridges and dock in Skagway, Alaska.
